A unique Minor Hero ship, the Mercy Hospital Frigate was a large slow moving ship that can heal nearby units. Located at Rendili. Wookiepedia states that this ship was 2000 m long, but that was obviously the report of a wounded pilot who was probably under the influence of some pain medicine. I have chosen a more believable size for this ship based off of what Drone has depicted in his concept sketch. Star Galleon by Wolfe_2.0 Wolf is an amazing model maker, making greatly detailed models one after another. The Star Galleon will be a common trading vessel, seen at various shipping ports and in some pirate fleets. Armed with 4 dual medium turbo laser turrets and flank mounted concussion missile launchers. The Bothan Advanced Frigate received a quick upgrade while we finish the Bothan fleet. The Agave was built to contain a specialized cloaking device allowing the ship to perform stealth reconnaissance missions. Armed only with 2 dual medium turbo lasers turret and 2 dual light laser turrets. The Agave had tremendous Line Of Sight (LOS) due to its advanced sensor package and also housed a gravity well generator to prevent enemy ships from escaping to hyperspace. This allowed us to see that the Nebulon C concepted by Adamkop (http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j282/Deseli/Starships/Frigates/star_wars_nebulon_c_frigate_by_adamkop-d5kjjpv_zps99328943.jpg) and modeled by Warb Null fit the profile perfectly. In the late years of the Vong War, the Bothan's decided to embark on crusade of extermination against the Vong, despite orders not to from the Galactic Alliance. The Fleet of the Ar'krai Centered around a few medium sized warships, the Bothan Ar'krai Fleet was primarily focused on smaller faster hitting strike craft. Corvettes and frigates made up the mainstay of the fleet, swarming the enemy with fast moving deadly firepower while medium class capital ships dealth heavy blows while still being able to out maneuver enemy fire.

3 Ships: Pelta-Class Frigates were used by the Galactic Empire throughout the Civil War on less important Imperial-held worlds. Bothawai was one such world. Pelta's were used mainly for patrol purposes, and after the defeat of the Empire, a large number of Pelta's were left in Bothan space. Armed only with 2 dual light lasers, the ships found importance amongst Bothan Fleets due to its relatively quick speed compared to Assault Cruisers and for its 10 light laser mounts which acted as Point-Defense weapons, making the armored Peltas suitable for escort duty, shielding more important vessels. Model by Warb_Null, slight edit by Burntstrobe to allow for 2 added turrets made by Geroenimo The Bothan Gunship was a small ship, moderate speed, but strong armor and heavily armed for its size. The ship was a marvel of modern technology systems, being almost completely automated, allowing it to function with as little a crew as 10. Armed with 2 rapid AA turrets and a dorsal mounted dual light laser turret, the ship featured 4 bow mounted concussion missile launchers allowing for great use as an escort corvette. Model by Lord_Enpremi, edited by Burntstrobe, turrets by Geroenimo The Bothan Munitions Frigate was a large sized ship with a very formidable array of firepower. The Munitions Frigate featured 18 dual medium turbolaser turrets, 5 dual light laser turrets and 2 dual medium long rang artillery turrets. The Munitions Frigate also featured a small hanger for deploying 1 squadron of fighters, and a space mine deployment system located underneath the front half of the ship. A special feature of the ship was that it could also self-destruct, taking out many nearby by enemies in a large explosion, all in the honor of Ar'krai. The Hajen is built upon the hull of the Sacheen Frigate. The right side of the ship is built on top of the Sacheen's hull, containing all the engineering of the ship and crew quarters, while the left side has been built out to allow a mobile repair facility. Functioning as a Fleet Tender, the Hajen is capable of performing passive repair on nearby capital ships. Its hanger is large enough to house a CR90, and is shown with a Paladin docked inside of it. The Hajen is one of the strongest armored of the 5th Fleets's Modernization Program ships, but it lacks weapons and speed, thus needing to be protected. A very special thanks to $leeper for creating this ship with me, he built the model, I created the hollowed out hanger. Only the Endurrance, Prowler, Ferret and Belarus left to complete the 5th Fleet... all coming soon

Upon reaching a destination worth surveying, the squadron can become immobile while activating a cloak generator, making the vessels virtually invisible to any enemy. Upon cloaking, the vessels receive an advanced LOS (line of sight), giving them tremendous spying ability. The Ferret, being and automated craft controlled by the Prowler has no crew, and upon destruction can explode in a massive fireball taking out any enemy fighter squadron too close. The Prowler is armed with 6 concussion missile launchers allowing it to fire deadly volleys at enemy fighter squadrons and corvettes. So, for lack of better words, the 5th Fleet is a complete mess of inconsistencies and fact checking errors. It has proven to be one of the biggest modeling headaches, and I wish to explain why, just so everyone is aware of the efforts we have placed into creating it for everyone. Originally, the entire 5th Fleet Modernization Program was proposed as a fleet all built off of the same modular hull. Larger ships would have more modules, smaller ships less. This idea, allowed for the ships to be built faster, cost less, and be repaired more easily since they all shared interchangeable parts. The entire fleet was originally concepted to be built off of the Defender-Class Star Destroyer. Then some one thought up and designed the Nebula Class, and everyone at Star Wars High Command fell in love with this ship. So, they cancelled and scratched the idea of the Defender, and simply stated that all the ships designs were modular pairs, meaning that the entire 5th fleet was built upon pairs, every 2 ships shared the same hull, allowing the great idea to thrive while introducing the new pretty and shiny Nebula. Sounds good right...? WRONG!!!!! Cracken's Ship Dossier was already published, and it included the Majestic, and Cruiser with different aft and bow components built onto the middle section of the Defender Class, AND they had a sketch of the Endurance, which was entirely built from the Defender with a new bow, and some type of crazy alien head thing... In Addition to this, the Comics based upon the Vong War started using Cracken's source as canon and started publishing issues that featured the Defender-Class Star Destroyer... Well, this spawned a good debate until until of the Star Wars Essential Guides published a colorized version of the Nebula-Class, crowning it as the king of the New Republic 5th fleet. The Defender-Class was then officially told to be forgotten about. EXCEPT FOR THE UGlY Endurance.... (to be continued down below)

This model was inspired by the artwork produced by FractalSponge, and using the models of EvilleJedi. Additional model parts were created by Kharcov and assembly and details by Burntstrobe. Turrets by Geroenimo and Kharcov. The Endurance-Class Fleet Carrier One of the most disputed ships of all of SW EU concept artwork. The Endurance was created after determining that the Nebula performed much better in a role as an assault battleship instead of an assault carrier. Removal of the massive ion cannons of the Nebula, and the ventral hull fins with missile launch silos left a slimmer keel to the ship. The removal of the Nebula's large ventral hanger in place of a smaller forward ventral hanger allowed for a slimmer ventral profile while also permitting the addition of reinforced hull plating armor. The forward gun mounts of the Nebula were also removed, leaving the Endurance with a blunt front end. Additional changes to the ship called for hollowing out a large portion of the central dorsal area of the ship to allow for a massive hanger and assembly area, where large numbers of fighter squadrons could quickly be prepared for launch or moved around within the enclosed protection of the ship for repairs. With the hollowing out of the center of the ship, a large portion of command control decks were moved to a flying bridge which was supported above the main body of the ship. The main Shield Generator of the ship was also positioned on this 'flying bridge' giving the command deck/conning tower extreme protection during battles. 3 hanger entrances were added to the main hanger hollow, 2 on each flank of the Endurance and one large launch ramp located towards the dorsal bow of the ship. To aid in the coordination of all the hanger access ports, multiple curved control towers were added to key positions around the ship hull, giving the ship excellent flight coordination abilities (commander boost for fighters only). The Belarus http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Belarus-class_medium_cruiser Choosing to not conform the modular design specifications requested by Republic Engineering Corporation and instead choosing to develop an "upgraded" version of the Strike Cruiser, Loronar of Eriadu produced a flying tank of a warship, the Belarus. Stronger armored than its predecessor the Strike Cruiser, the Belaurs was built from the same frame with heavy modifications. A larger rear powerplant allowed for even stronger twin shield generators located on the flank wing modules. The 'wing modules' were highly sophisticated sensory and targeting arrays that gave the Belarus extended Line Of Sight and Stealth Detection. Stronger armored than its predecessor the Strike Cruiser, the Belaurs was built from the same frame with heavy modifications. A larger rear powerplant allowed for even stronger twin shield generators located on the flank wing modules. So, just why is the 5th Fleet so important?... The 5th Fleet was the birth of the Modernization program, then continued on to have success throughout the Vong War, ultimately being adopted into all the New Republic Fleets and becoming the Galactic Alliance Defense Fleet. It was basically the testing grounds for creating a standardized navy for the New Republic, and led the way to the development of the great Scythe battle cruisers of the Legacy era. The 5th Fleet was the birth of the future of Star Wars. For the Vong mod, the New Republic Player will start off playing with small pocket fleets located all round the Galactic Conquest map. These will be considered fleet reserves, stationed at key locations such as Bilbringi, Sluis Van, Kuat, Dac, Bothawai and Corellia. The 5th Fleet will be the main defense force stationed near Coruscant. As the Vong advance, the NR player will be able to build ships from any of the affiliated ship manufactures under NR control, but as the Vong advance, and ultimately capture Coruscant, the planets of the galaxy will start to rebel against the New Republic, and some ships may not be available while new treaties, such as with the Imperial Remnant for example, will open up new ship building possibilities. The 5th Fleet, due to its modular construction and ease of assembly, will allow itself to be built at any NR controlled shipyard, so it will always be the mainstay force defending the galaxy.

So the tale of Pirate Min is long mysterious indeed. Scattered reports have indicated that Min is indeed command of some form of fleet, hidden away deep in space. Most of the accounts, recorded by means of distress signals or from the few survivors who soon after died indicate a strange fleet of ships of a type not seen since the First Battle of Dac in the days of the Dark Empire... The Corellian Modular Carrier A specialized warship, cruiser sized, designed for assault missions. The CMC was designed to be easily adaptable and to perform within invasion fleets. It featured 2 ventral mounted heavy dual turbolaser turrets and a sizeable hanger for launching a variety of assault craft. If the Pirate Min has indeed managed to acquire some of these ships, he would certainly be considered more of a threat than just a myth told at backwater cantinas... Developed as light armored, fast gunship, the VCX-820 held fast to the belief that there is "no such thing as too many guns" Bristling with weapons the 820 also featured a rear gunner, providing excellent protection. MTC http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Modular_Taskforce_Cruiser The MTC was a common transport vessel used heavily by the Empire during the Dark Empire times especially. Armed with 15 medium turbo laser turrets, a tractor beam and concussion missile launch batteries, the MTC was well defended for a transport ship with a decent shield generator to compensate for its weaker armor. This version features the 'Rescue Module', a giant protected hanger bay that can fit ships as large as a CR90 completely inside. Reports have indicated that a MTC was once seen with the famed Min Fleet, a fact which would explain how the pirate's ships are always maintained without ever being seen at shipyards... The MTC is also buildable at Bonadan as a passive repair ship, since Tagge Company is the primary benefactor of Bonadan Heavy Industries.
