GR - 105 Emergency World Evacuation Ship

Developed by Gallofree to evacuate entire planet's populations, the EWES GR-105 was designed to land on a planet's surface, quickly onload passengers and evacuate the system before any cataclysmic events could occur. The strong thruster enabled the ship to quickly take to orbit, but required a recharge period before the ship could enter hyperspace. Capable of holding large quantities of civilians, the 105's were in constant need of escort protection since the massive ships were only armed with 6 dual laser turrets. During the Vong War, the Vong captured an entire fleet of EWES and attached remote navigational growths to them, turning the giant ships loaded with passengers into devastating terror weapons which were used to bring down the planetary shield of Coruscant. So, Squadrons...

So I've been working on a new idea today... The idea is to have mixed groups of ship classes, such as corvettes and frigates operating together as one battle group. This will hopefully reduce some of the micromanagement as well as add an interesting new concept to the game. These squadrons will mostly acts as escorts, hyper spacing in with a Capital ship in order to provide escort duties. While you will be able to purchase most ships individually, these groups will also be available. Any Feedback would be appreciated. :D So, Squadrons...

AA-9 by Evillejedi is a super large civilian transport which takes supplies and citizens to other words. Dual medium turbo laser dorsal turret and 12 ventral single laser turrets added for protection by Burntstrobe. The gold Razor-Class fighter is one of the last fighters to be produced by Alderaan and can be seen throughout the Coruscant shipping lanes as an escort fighter. Model by Wolf The Gallofree Nova Courior by Lucas arts, 2 unidentified frieghters and the 3 Consular type cruisers are by Warb Null, and can be seen used as local defense ships and within some smuggler/pirate organizations.Coruscant Freighters

Warb Null has been one of the greatest members of the Star Wars Empire at War Modding Community since its very beginning. His free-release policy on nearly all of his works has not only given inspiration and resources to countless mods, but has given us the inspiration to form our modding group here together at the Vong Project. We believe in working together and supporting all modding projects, for the more modders that work together, the more mods may be finished for everyone. Warb is a great 3D model maker. He can make any model asked and has never announced defeat to any project we have challenged him with. His range of skill from making simple to complex models is unparalleled. He is truly one of the best this community has to offer, too humble to ever promote himself, which is why we thank him here for all that he has given us to work with. But now it is time to Take Him Down! We have included a few of Warb's Kotor Era units in our pictures over the past few days. These models need to be replaced with Era-Relevant ships. We are offering a contest to aspiring model makers: make relevant era freighters for our pirate fleets and we will use your work and remove Warb's units. This is a chance for new and learning model makers to try making a model, and if it shows potential, we will help you complete the model and feature it here in our Vong Mod. Vanguard - Class Gunship

Developed during the early days of the Empire by Corellia and sold to Imperial held world as a defense ship, the Vanguard never saw much attention due to being outclassed by heavier armed ships such as the Bayonette and Customs's Ship. Discontinued from production, these ships have found their way into numerous pirate fleets, fulfilling the needed role of a ship that could provide AA defense while also fighting against more heavily armored escort ships. Armed with 4 proton torpedo launchers, fixed twin bow mounted medium turbo lasers and a ventral mounted heavy blaster AA turret, Vanguard was slow and sluggish, but heavily armored. This model was donated by $leeper from Steiner Modding Group. $leeper is a very promising model maker and will be helping us on some future projects. We are also pleased to announce our confirmed partnership with Steiner Modding Group. Our mods will be helping each other a lot more, as we aid them in the development of Awakening of the Rebellion 2 which can be tracked here: http://www.moddb.com/mods/awakening-of-the-rebellion-2 Great model, and we look forward to working with everyone at SMG, many great things will come from this :)Vanguard - Class Gunship

Something lost, something hidden, something from long ago... The Derapha Class Cruiser, hailing from planet Phaeda, 4000 years ago... Sent on a mission to explore an uncharted nebula anomaly during the Mandalorian Wars, a small task force of these cruisers discovered hidden in the Nebula a world with a thousand Moons... Planet Iego. Planet Iego has a unique phenomenon unto itself: time stands still and has no effect. The crew of the Derapha Cruiser fleet has been here ever since, patrolling and exploring the thousand moons, unknown that time has moved on.... Pirate Converted Kessel Refinery Ship

An old relic of a a heavily armored ship, the Kessel Mining Frigates were a thick armored design allowing navigation amongst the asteroids. 4 circular service bays allowed mining shuttles to dock while 4 smaller hanger bays allowed smaller craft to transport supplies. Long since retired from service since the days of orbital mining around Kessel have ceased, and number of these ships have been captured by Pirates and coverted to slow moving artillery barges used to ambush the trading lanes. Min's Wind

Nobody knows much about him. It was believed that he was part of the Imperial Navy, before having a psychotic breakdown... others say he conquered an entire Imperial fleet, all by himself... The Pirate Min. The Min's Wind is a heavily modified Corellian Escort Frigate, a unique tactical support ship developed during the time of the Emporer Reborn to safeguard fleets on extended interstellar missions. The CEF features 8 rapid fire imperial grade AA blasters and 2 medium dual turbolasers. Min's Wind has been seen featuring an enlarged bulkhead converted into a hanger, the removal of the medium turbos, a targeting tower featuring a plasma laser, a light blaster turret behind the command bridge and twin shield generators. It has also been noted by one survivor that the Min's Wind has had some type of incendiary rocket launcher installed that creates a sphere of destruction wiping out any fighter or small craft that gets too close. Nobody knows much more about Min... but those who were left alive have only been able to utter the words... 'Ghost Fleet'... before succumbing to their wounds... Developed by Lando Calrissian, the Shield Ship was a heavily armored ship that allowed safe passage to the planet Nkklon. Heavily armored, the Shield Ship can reflect laser blasts, prevent radiation damage and has a special ability called 'Reflective Condensing' which can freeze a planet. Model by: Kharcov and BurntstrobeShield Ship

Sluis Van Hanger Ship a mobile fleet tender ship, the SVH-1 was slow moving, but strong armored. Defended by 4 light dual laser turrets, these ships could repair nearby fighters during battles. Due the large amounts of fuel and stored in the external cells, these vessels would explode into giant fireballs if destroyed, acting much like a fireship damaging anything caught nearby.
