Geroenimo pointed out that I was using the default EAW DP20 model, which was bugging me, so after a few modifications to Evillejedi's wonderful version, I am finally happy with the DP20.
The ship is also closer to cannon, with 8 dual laser turrets, 6 fast tracking AA blaster turrets and 4 concussion missile launch tubes.
