Commanded by Prince Isolder and painted Red, the Song of War was an oversized Battle Dragon with significant more firepower. Shielded like other battle Dragons and armed with the twin rotating weapon rings that could switch between medium ions and heavy turbos, the SoW was upgraded with more defense to include to defensive rings of medium tubolaser turrets around its top and bottom saucer hangars and several rings of imperial turbolaser towers. The SoW had tractor beam capability and also fired the Pulse Mass interdiction mines as well in addition to the 6 heavy ion canons (3 on each pole) and the 10 capital grade proton torpedo launchers. The most notable feature of the SoW was its extra hangar space, allowing the ship to carry 1 Miy'Til squadrons and 3 Miy'Til Bomber squadrons.
