Bothan Fleet Ships

3 Ships: Pelta-Class Frigates were used by the Galactic Empire throughout the Civil War on less important Imperial-held worlds. Bothawai was one such world. Pelta's were used mainly for patrol purposes, and after the defeat of the Empire, a large number of Pelta's were left in Bothan space. Armed only with 2 dual light lasers, the ships found importance amongst Bothan Fleets due to its relatively quick speed compared to Assault Cruisers and for its 10 light laser mounts which acted as Point-Defense weapons, making the armored Peltas suitable for escort duty, shielding more important vessels. The ship was a marvel of modern technology systems, being almost completely automated, allowing it to function with as little a crew as 10. Armed with 2 rapid AA turrets and a dorsal mounted dual light laser turret, the ship featured 4 bow mounted concussion missile launchers allowing for great use as an escort corvette. The Munitions Frigate featured 18 dual medium turbolaser turrets, 5 dual light laser turrets and 2 dual medium long rang artillery turrets. The Munitions Frigate also featured a small hanger for deploying 1 squadron of fighters, and a space mine deployment system located underneath the front half of the ship. A special feature of the ship was that it could also self-destruct, taking out many nearby by enemies in a large explosion, all in the honor of Ar'krai.
