An old relic of a a heavily armored ship, the Kessel Mining Frigates were a thick armored design allowing navigation amongst the asteroids. 4 circular service bays allowed mining shuttles to dock while 4 smaller hanger bays allowed smaller craft to transport supplies.
Long since retired from service since the days of orbital mining around Kessel have ceased, and number of these ships have been captured by Pirates and coverted to slow moving artillery barges used to ambush the trading lanes.
