Defender - Class Assault Carrier

Following the protocol of the New Republic Modernization Program, the Defender was made of modular components similar to the Majestic Class cruiser, thus allowing for fast and easy repairs by using similar parts. The Defender was an assault carrier, tasked with flying into the thick of battle, deploying its squadrons and and being able to assist defend them while under heavy attack. The Defender featured heavy armor similar to the Majestic, strong shields and fast cruising speeds. It was capable of carrying 4 squadrons of fighters and allowed for repair services while in the thick of battle.
