Developed as a replacement for the DP20, the Warrior was a technologically advanced ship, suited for the role of a corvette hunter. As following the New Republic Modernization program guidelines, the Warrior was made of modular components so that repair of all New Republic ships would be able to utilize the same parts for faster repairs. The Warrior was a very fast and agile ship, flying similar to a large fighter in its maneuvers, and was capable of packing a serious punch to deal damage to much larger ships such as cruisers. Weak armored with only decent shielding, the Warrior relied on its speed and firepower for survival. Armed with 2 dual medium turbolasers, 2 fast tracking AA turrets, 2 flank mounted point-defense laser arrays, a fixed forward mounted dual heavy turbolaser in the left pylon and a concussion missile launcher in the right pylon, the Warrior was a menacing site to any enemy.
